Futures market
Futures markets trade contracts linked to an asset or index price. Our focus is the Nasdaq: follow the session, understand the contracts and check the calendar before making decisions.

Index, futures and CFD
The Nasdaq-100 is an index. NQ and MNQ are futures traded at CME; a CFD is a different instrument offered by a provider. Check the product, source and quote time. Different instruments can have different prices.
NQ and MNQ
E-mini Nasdaq-100 futures use the code NQ. Micro E-mini futures use MNQ and have a smaller contract size. A micro contract changes exposure per contract; it does not remove risk. Check CME specifications before trading.
What to watch
Federal Reserve decisions, US inflation and jobs data, and company earnings can move the index. Use the economic calendar to find events and read Wall Street coverage for context.
Sessions and expiry
Futures have their own sessions, breaks and expiry dates. Holidays and US daylight saving changes can affect the time difference with Brazil. Check the current session and contract with CME and your platform.
Risk before entry
Leverage increases exposure and can cause losses greater than the margin deposited. Set a loss limit, stop distance and contract count; costs and execution also affect results. Our risk calculator is an educational tool.
